A power weeder, also called a weeder machine, is an engine-driven machine that works the soil between crop rows to remove weeds, break up compacted soil, and prepare the field for the next stage of cultivation. 1. What job and what row spacing?

3. How hard is your soil?
Soft, regularly worked soil is fine with the 99 cc MPW-50P. For general weeding and tilling, the 212 cc MPW-100P and APW-100PB are the middle of the range. For compacted or clay soil, or daily contract work, look at the 296 cc APW-105DEA diesel or the back-rotary APW-105DM-1.
4. Do you need ridging or ditching?
The APW-105DM-1 back-rotary comes with a ditching blade and a soil lifting blade on top of its 32 tilling blades, plus 3 forward gears. If you plan to add a cultivator, cage wheel or ridger to another model later, check its shaft size first so it matches the power weeder attachments you want.
